observa{\c{c}}{\~o}es tem sido executadas em nosso pais. o tipo
e a qualidade das tiras heliogr{\'a}ficas usadas pelas diferentes
institui{\c{c}}{\~o}es que operam as redes de
observa{\c{c}}{\~o}es, tem sido uma das causas de erros
constantes e embutidos nas series existentes nesta pesquisa o
autor analisa as caracter{\'{\i}}sticas de doze diferentes tipos
de tiras heliogr{\'a}ficas a saber: cores diferentes,
dimens{\~o}es, tempo de queima e sobre-queima, assim como o valor
m{\'{\i}}nimo do fluxo de radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o necess{\'a}rio
para inicio da queima. Ao mesmo tempo este estudo desenvolve um
modelo semi-emp{\'{\i}}rico para a estimativa da
radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o solar global di{\'a}ria e as componentes de
radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o direta e difusa. No modelo s{\~a}o usadas
parametriza{\c{c}}{\~o}es para o espalhamento de Rayleigh e Mie
e para a absor{\c{c}}{\~a}o devida ao di{\'o}xido de carbono,
vapor d'{\'a}gua, oz{\^o}nio e oxig{\^e}nio. No modelo s{\~a}o
ainda considerados os fluxo devidos a absor{\c{c}}{\~a}o e
espalhamento por aeross{\'o}is e nuvens. Os dados de entrada do
modelo s{\~a}o vari{\'a}veis meteorol{\'o}gicas observadas na
superf{\'{\i}}cie tais como: press{\~a}o atmosf{\'e}rica,
temperatura do ar, umidade relativa, visibilidade horizontal e
observa{\c{c}}{\~o}es do tipo predominante de nuvens e da
cobertura do c{\'e}u. O modelo foi avaliado e testado para sete
cidades, mostrando um erro relativo menor do que a precis{\~a}o
do piran{\^o}metro (5%), confirmando um bom desempenho para
per{\'{\i}}odos de um m{\^e}s. ABSTRACT: The large amount of
energy which is continuously received from the sun has led more
recently to increased efforts toward a better knowledge of its
disposition to satisfy world wide energy demands. There is no
unique solution for solar energy utilization, since the local
requirements depend on climatological archievements and local
availability of materials and technicians. As a matter of fact the
global availability of solar energy is an immense resource when
compared with conventional resources. For solving present and
future problems strong efforts have to be initiated in collecting
and estimating data for availability of solar radiation with high
local and temporal resolution. Since the implementation of the
brazilian network of meteorological observing stations the
sunshine duration has been recorded, by the Campbell-Stokes
recorder. There exist in our days various limitations on the
utilization of this equipament in the manner it is being performed
in the brazilian network. One of the facts affeting the
observations of sunshine recorder is the type and quality of cards
that are being used by the different Instituitions that operate a
network. The author analised the characteristics of the twelve
different types of cards, concerning: color, dimensions, time of
burning and overburning as well as the value of the minimun
radiation flux necessary to start burning. At the same time the
present study aims at providing a semi-empirical model for the
estimation of daily global solar radiation and the components of
direct and diffuse radiation in the model methods of
parametrizations such as Rayleigh and Mie scattering, absorption
due to water vapour, C02, 03 and oxigen were used. In the model,
it was considered the fluxes of absorption and scattering by
aerosols and clouds. The entries in the model were the
meteorological variables observed in the met-station at the
surface: atmospheric pressure, air temperature air moisture, cloud
types and cloudiness. The model was tested for seven places a0d
showed a relative error smaller than the one give by pyranometer
(5%).",
